Who I Am

Joan Pascale Goldstein

Interior Designer | BFA, Interior Design

With a career spanning over three decades, I bring a deep understanding of timeless design and refined living to every project. Since establishing my interior design practice in 1985, I have worked with discerning clients to create highly personalized residential environments that are both elegant and livable.

My formal training: a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design-laid the foundation for a lifelong passion inclusive of aesthetics, color, and spacial harmony. Even before my professional education, I felt a strong pull toward cultivating beautiful and meaningful spaces. Today, my work is defined by an eclectic sensibility; balanced with an understated elegance, a nuanced approach to color, and a focus on custom furnishings that speak to each client’s unique lifestyle.

I specialize in high-end residential interiors, often incorporating custom-designed furniture and rugs as well as curated pieces from global artisans. Over the years, I’ve built lasting relationships with master craftspeople and carpenters, ensuring every detail is executed with artistry and precision.

My professional experience includes early work with House Beautiful magazine, where I was assistant to the Decorating Editor. I later joined the Donghia Associates, working with prestigious clients such as Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lauren, including the design of a private Jamaican residence and a Polo showroom at the historic Gotham Hotel. I was also a designer for Xanadu Design-a firm focused on luxury Caribbean properties, inclusive of St. Thomas, Tortola, and Peter Island.

Select projects have been featured in the Louis M. Klein Harrison House Tour, and was a featured designer in the Westchester Design Showhouse benefitting Cerebral Palsy.
